Donna Coulter is an Accredited Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Practitioner, Educator and owner/operator of Nurture Your Vibe Energy Therapies. She is newer to the world of business but well versed in strategies to conquer fears, frustrations, overwhelm and stress that interferes with our path to success. Katherine G. MacRae is the President of Be Your Own Super Hero! Women’s Leadership Community she founded that provides inspirational speakers, leadership training, coaching, conferences, workshops, networking events and resources for women and women in business. A Success Coach and Corporate Trainer, Katherine continues to develop her knowledge and skills with on-going professional training in Business & Personal Success Coaching as a graduate of the Coachville Graduate School of Coaching. Her educational background in Business Management, Aircraft Maintenance and diverse working experience in business, magazine publishing (former Publisher/Owner of OUR HOMES Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma), volunteer organizations, leadership roles, and technical trades (as a former Aircraft Maintenance Engineer), has garnered her extensive insight into what makes a company, organization, or individual successful, both on the inside, and the outside.
Super Hero Energizers
Carla Pierman, through personal experiences has achieved goals of a happier, healthier life. She is grateful and excited to work with others who have also chosen to begin this journey of optimal healing body, mind and spirit. Her contributions to the community have been active for the past 10 years motivating, inspiring and instructing in various clubs and classes with other specialists including a local chiropractor and Ayurveda practitioner. Teaching mindful breathing exercises, integrated with the natural healing modalities she has studied and practiced to help her become aware of her own internal healing system. Carla hopes for a more peaceful, healing resonance, within our community by sharing this knowledge, so we can all “Keep Calm and Carry On!”
Kicking Passion into Action; How to Create a Super Business by Doing What You Love
Janelle Tang is best known in the community as the Paint Nite Sault Ste. Marie Licensee, or the “Paint Nite Girl”. She moved to the Sault with her husband and two young children on October 2014 and on March 9, 2015 held her first Paint Nite in the city. Since then she has recruited 5 lead artists, organized more than 650 events in the Algoma region, and raised more than $60,000 through her Paint Nite fundraisers for charities and organizations in the region. She is also involved with numerous grass-roots organizations including Startup Sault and Over The Rainbow Theatre Company. Janelle has a Bachelors in Fine Arts from the University of Ottawa and a Masters in Museum Studies from the Universite du Quebec a Montreal. Prior to moving to the Sault Janelle worked for 8 years as the Digitization, Publishing, and Rights Coordinator at Glenbow Museum in Calgary.
Personal Branding Like a Super Hero
Christina Coutu grew up in Sault Ste. Marie. As the youngest of five children, including a set of triplets, she learned first hand the importance of team work, sharing, compromise, and conflict resolution. She attended Sault College and Lake Superior State University, has a certificate in project management, and is currently pursuing studies in adult education as well as holistic healing approaches. Christina has worked at Sault College in recruitment, job development, and employment counselling. Formally a Banking Consultant with Manulife Bank and a Project Manager at the Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre as well as a job coach at the Sault Community Career Centre. In August 2015, Christina began as the Executive Director at the Centre for Social Justice and Good Works.

A graduate of Trent University, Karen obtained her bachelor’s degree in Native Studies with focuses in business, economic development and organizational behaviour. Karen is a previously designated Project Management Professional and winner of the 2015 Influential Women of Northern Ontario’s Aboriginal Leadership Award. She has over 17 years of varied business industry experiences, such as personal financial services, commercial lending and account management, business advisory services, housing property management and renewable energy project management. Karen instills confidence through a personalized planning process to create a total wealth management strategy geared to significantly improve your ability to implement your financial life goals.
Financing Your Business Like a Super Hero
Lori Naccarato was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie and has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years. In this time, she has helped numerous businesses start up and open their doors as well as helping existing businesses grow and expand. Lori is active in the area of economic development and has been a board member with the Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corporation since 2010. Through financing, consulting and mentoring, Lori has become a trusted advisor in our business community.
